Yey for prevention, and please post back to let us know how they've worked for constipation;I checked reviews both on this site and on amazon looking for folks with constipation reactions that look favorable. Remember to wait at least an hour or more after a snack so on an empty stomach before taking before dinner and with a little water;Otherwise they'll open up before they get down to the colon and you'll feel the too strong peppermint up in the stomach and throat. They are meant to resist stomach acid with their enteric coating. I think they are great and convenient instead of peppermint tea (especially if heartburn is already present, since the tea can "sometimes" unfortunately relax the esophagus allowing the acid up where it shouldn't be contributing to more heartburn problem. Irregardless, there are websites that still say to do the peppermint tea form in lieu of heartburn.
