Couldn't find anyone on the reviews on webmd that it helps ibs pain as a plus darnit. Thanks for letting us know your personal and relative's experiences. BTW, I am now at 25mg of the amitriptyline/elavil, seems like the frequency and intensity of the more mild pain I was having before the 25mg have gone down even more. The loperamide helps at 1/2 tab taken after the second BM stops anymore BMs for the rest of the day;Depending on what I eat, sometimes I'll take 1 whole.
