Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | After a year of dealing with this

Hello. I have been reading the boards and purchasing the tea and fiber for a year now.
A year ago I started having terrible pain whenever I ate anything. This usually came with nausea and *D*. The *D* got so bad that I couldn't leave my house on most days. I couldn't deal with it any longer and went to the doctor. After thousands (almost $10,000 AFTER insurance)of dollars in testing (I even ate radioactive eggs for one of the tests) and specialist visits I was diagnosed with IBS-D.
I found this site and started using the tea and fiber. This stopped the *D* most days and I was at least able to go to the store or the bank (with my Immodium D in my purse just in case). The pain continued. Fast forward a year - I have lost 40 lbs. and missed many important events. I couldn't take it any longer and went to a different doctor who ordered an ultrasound. I was FULL of gallstones! They scheduled my gallbladder removal surgery but I didn't make it that far. A week before the surgery I ended up at the ER in pain. I was admitted and spent a week in the hospital with a bad case of pancreatitis. That was two weeks ago and I am now able to eat and my life feels like it is getting back to normal!
I posted this just in case my symptoms resemble anyone else's. Please get an ultrasound! Pancreatitis is scary.
I am so relieved that they finally figured out what was wrong with me.
