I know that fat is a digestive trigger, sending some into bouts of diarrhea, and some into constipation. BUT, my question is why...what is it about fat that does this? Can the body build back its tolerance for fat (I used to do much better with it, even after being diagnosed and living with IBS for many years). Is saturated fat harder to tolerate, meaning are all fats equal or some easier to digest than others? Lastly, we know that SIBO can cause one to have diarrhea and another constipation..other than that, what makes the difference in reaction?
thanks so much!
