Years ago, I was given Cholestyramine (used for lowering cholesterol) and almost immediately noticed it had a positive affect on my IBS-D. Unfortunately it was short lived, about a week or two. Of course I was curious but as could be expected, any doctor I mentioned this to could not be bothered to care or pursue it. I've always wondered and thought there was a definite connection (in my case) with Bile acids and my IBS. So now I see Heather's most recent post about the Bile-IBS link (in the Research Library section) and am very curious to know if this applies to anyone else and what your knowledge/experience if any may be?
