Hello!

No, it shouldn't get worse. It might not get better until your dose is gradually increased, but it should never make things worse.

Stay at 1/2 tsp twice daily for a good 4-5 days, then start adding an extra 1/2 tsp to just one dose. So you'd be at 1 tsp am, and 1/2 tsp pm. Then wait 4-5 days and increase your pm dose to 1 tsp. Keep slowly increasing at this pace.

The low dose and gradual increase is to get your gut used to extra fiber - fiber is literally indigestible. But diarrhea will likely take 1-3 tablespoons per day total to resolve. You just want to get up to that dose gradually.
