If anyone knows how to handle D, it's you guys! I've been off the boards for awhile. My symptoms got better when I cut out gluten. I still get D occasionally, usually triggered by anxiety. I thought I could handle wheat again, so I ate some Spelt bread (I heard that was easier to digest), three days in a row. I seemed fine. And then I had a horrible case of D. I don't know if it was the Spelt, or something going around. (2 people at work had stomach pain and D, and thought it was something they ate. I didn't eat anything that they did.)

I haven't eaten more than a a few bites of white rice and peppermint tea all day, and I'm already underweight so I have to be careful. Is unsweetened applesauce okay? How about banana? My doctor said to stick to bland foods. I bought some rice cakes but they're made from brown rice, so that's probably not good. And the gluten free bread I have (Udi's) is also made from wholegrain brown rice, although the bread looks white to me!

I'm feeling quite sad. I live alone, so it's hard when I feel unwell.
