I recently read a meta-analysis of probiotic use in IBS (I'm sure you've probably seen it). It concludes that some specific strains of bacteria may help to relieve IBS symptoms in some patients. Other than VSL#3 (which doesn't fair too well in trials) and Align they don't seem to mention specific probiotics that can be purchased and instead refer to the various strains of bacteria. While this is interesting it's difficult to know which probiotic to try. Do you have any thoughts/recommendations other than VSL#3/Align.
