Hello All,

I called my gastroenterologist yesterday to obtain the results of my tests last week. I was told nothing serious was found. However, they did find that I have something called Reflux Esophagitis. This is a condition related to GERD, or acid reflux. It is very strange they found this since I have felt NO symptoms of this whatsoever!

I did some research on Google and I believe this was likely triggered by the 15 radiation treatments I had in January and February.

I have an appointment with the gastro doctor on Wednesday, October 9th when I will get more information and treatment options.

I see the radiation oncologist the end of October and I WILL tell him about this too!!

It is ALWAYS something, isn't it? However I DO praise God that they didn't find colon cancer or any other VERY serious disease!

Thanks for listening and caring!

Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.
