as long as you've increased your dose gradually, you could probably get up to a good 30 grams per day and be just fine. There is really no established ideal for fiber intake. In the US the guidelines range from at least 25 to 35 grams per day, but that is a minimum recommendation for total fiber intake. And it comes nowhere near the fiber intake of many countries with far healthier, plant-based diets than is typical in the Western world (I've seen stats of 80-100 grams per day).
