It's been a few years since I've posted, I'm loosely following the EFI diet, I am IBS-D with UC. I had my daughter back in November 2010 and started seeing a chiropractor in January 2012 because of back pain that would not go away after having my daughter, it progressively got worse. After seeing my chiropractor for about 6 months my IBS symptoms have all but gone, I rarely have an attack and when I do it's very minor compared to what it was before.
I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy next week and this is my first one since having my daughter, who is now 2 years & 9 months old. My question is to those of you who have young children, how did you handle prep day? I'm scheduled to start taking prep at 10:00am, my husband leaves for work at 2:45pm. That will leave me alone with our daughter from 2:45pm until going to bed between 8:30-9:30pm. I'm afraid that with me running back and forth to the restroom all evening it will create a problem with trying to take care of my daughter, feeding her dinner and just being with her. She's not mature enough to understand that mommy has to go potty constantly. I'm thinking about asking my husband to take the evening off so he can take care of her, but I know he doesn't have a lot of leave from work. So how do you handle prep day with a young child? Any tips you could give me would be very appreciated.
