A similar thing is happening with sodium nitrate in meats. Because sodium nitrate is found in celery extract the manufacturers are called meats with celery extract natural with no artificial preservatives. It just nonsense to confuse the consumer with the same ingredient extracted from natural sources. I used frozen berries, I thaw them, mash them and strain them to make a berry juice. I add 1/5 glass of juice with the rest water and ice. It makes a lovely safe drink.
