They are apparantly best taken this way for the oils. Taking them whole is good for constipation because when in water they swell and become slippery. I've read that it's best to take a tablespoon a.m and p.m in large glass of water ~ unsaked. I find it impossible to take like this and so soak them instead. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
