Second update on Bob!       11/17/05 07:33 PM Edit Reply Quote Augie Reged: 10/27/04 Posts: 5807 Loc: Illinois Here's a copy/paste of the email I got from Bob. Hi Beth, I'm emailing you from the hospital rehab computer. I'm not doing too bad now. I'm learning how to walk again, and trying to get the motor functions of my left arm and hand back. I saw one my GI doc's associates last saturday and he told me to significantly take down my fiber intake and just use Miralax. He said because I have a lot of 'perineal descent', the fiber wouldn't really do me any good. He didn't explain why in detail, but it seems to be working! My rehab doc thinks my stroke was definitely a result of the ibs because of my dancing routine to generate the BM's and straining which was sending my blood pressure sky high. I'm lucky I didn't blow the top of my head off. So much for ibs not being life threatening, I just *proved* otherwise! Tell everybody thanks for their prayers and kind comments! heather's site won't let me login to do so for I know not why? Tell them I love them all and hope to be back posting soon enough.
