Sometimes the first prescription they give you won't take away the pain. Often you have to find a birth control that works with your body. I'm currently on my third type of pill and will probably soon be on my forth. Not trying to scare you - but don't get discouraged if it doesn't work with the first prescription. Your doctor can prescribe you different types to find the one that is right for you.
