Confused-- Is herbal tea a diuretic?

I read that tea is a diuretic. I've been drinking herbal teas for the past two weeks like it's going out of style. I mean, I probably drink atleast 6 cups of tea (peppermint or variety herbal teas). I thought this was supposed to be good for you, but now I'm wondering if it could be contributing to my ongoing C.

Is it better to stick with water?
