You did pretty good, but I have a question. What do you get out for lunch when you have to buy it? ok, you caught me! Why do you think I asked? I know what's out there, and it usually is a sandwich of some kind..(Remember I'm a GF eater and I have to eat out a lot too.) i got a blt. (i'm not supposed to have any of it- not the bacon, not the bread. oops!) usually, though, i get a rice noodle dish at the Thai place but i didn't have enough cash. i only had enough for the blt. I'm sure you carry only a little purse, because of the added weight, correct? But is there a way to leave food at work? In a drawer? A locker? Anywhere? I always have rice cakes or crackers in the car, no matter what the heat, and my newest love is Blue Diamond Nut Thin crackers. They come in pecan and almond flavor....GF and you can eat a ton of them without it being high fat. How about a tin of all your spare change in your car or desk so you don't have to settle for a BLT? Just some thoughts here. You have to be VERY premeditated when it comes to eating a certain way.
Also, do you take any Cal/Mag/Vit D supplements, and if so when in the day? you know, i was taking a Cal/Mag supplement, but stopped because i was piling up the meds at night. i had taken it to help with the sleep but it didn't seem to work. i should root it out and take it some again? I'd try it again. I you are eating DF, like the rest of us, you are likely low in Cal/Mag/vit D and since you are young you need even more. Opt for at least 1,000 mg. of Cal a day, half of that in Mag with some Vit D thrown in and boron if you can....Yes, it helps with sleep but you have to be consistant to notice a difference. Don't worry about tanking up on meds/vits at night unless your meds specifically say not to take with Cal....some do...like thyroid meds.
Also, have you looked at the possibility of getting an ACAM doc? They are M.D.s but much more attentive to your needs. Go to acam.org and put in your state for a doc search. That is what my "good" doc is. i'll have to look into this..... hopefully i'll have time to do so this weekend. i have to log off soon though. Good for you!!! Limiting your computer time IS healthy, believe it or not.......See what you can find out thru ACAM if that is even a possibility for you.
The walking was good. The remembering to take your herbal sleep sup was good. How'd you sleep last night? The keeping food on your tummy was good!!! All in all, I'd say you did good!!!! (((((hugs))))) thanks, Kandee. i'm really trying! I KNOW you are...that's WHY you're here...that's WHY you report in....That's WHY you list goals..........yee gads, who could ask for anyting more from a body!!! I think it's terrific!!! i'm going to take those meds again tonight. i slept only so-so last night, but it was hot (which usually throws me) I've tried to sleep in places that were so hot I thought I'd die. In which case I used an "old west" solution...wrap yourself in a damp sheet.....sounds weird I know, but it works, especially if you can put a small fan on in the room... and i only took a half of an Ambien in the middle of the night when i woke up. still trying to feel out what the best deal is with that nocturnal waking.... I have a theory and that is that ALL people with autoimmune disorders are sleep disfunctional....every single person I know is...I think the key is to be able to get back to sleep as fast as you can, not worry about how many times you wake up.
Job wise, what have you've always wanted to do? Besides make chocolates...of course. i've always wanted to be an artist, actually. What kind? There is always slots for commercial artists!! Could that be an option? Can you do free lance work? Have you spread the word about your artistic abilities? Can you see where I'm going here? Could this be a "long term goal"?
ok, today's update: -no Coke at all! Super!!! -no sugar at all! none! Wish I was that diciplined!!! -went to PT and worked hard on the exercises. really hard. my back is feeling terrible, but i know it's best in the long run. Work hard but don't over do it.... -i didn't find a doc yet, but here's the great news: I got a call for a job interview! wahoo. i missed the call (forgot my cell when i went to work) but got the message when i got home. i'll call tomorrow to set up the interview. Terrific!!! -walked at lunch, in the sun. did fairly well! Good for you!!! -kept food on my tummy all day, all of it healthy (lots of fruit) Raw, cooked, what? -i feel pretty good, except for the back pain.

(er, forgot what else i'm supposed to be reporting on! but i've got to get off the computer in a few minutes and go to bed early. i know that's on the list! ) YOU know the poem...Early to bed, early to rise, makes a (wo)man healthy, wealthy, and wise!! Can't think of anything else...
Wishing you luck........don't forget to set up your interview.......and start looking around at more jobs as well, in case this doesn't pan out....
Glad you reported in. You're doing great.......keep up the good work....
and
Nighty night!!!
Kandee
