I have had problems with my bowels for about 7 yrs. I mostly I have loose stools. In 2002 I noticed a pus through my stool. I was sent to a GI doctor, and he did a Colonscopy. He found Colitis in the lower rectum area. And I was put on medication for a few months. Then they did another Colonscopy after treatment, and said they colitis was gone. And kind of just lived with the loose stools.. Then I started having irritation in my rectum. Cream was giving for that.. Earlier this year I was at my Gyn for my yearly check up. and she noticed my rectum red and irritated. She sent mt to the GI Doc and on Aug I had another Colonscopy. they found a couple of small none cancerous polyps. Besides that they said everything looked fine. Things seem to be worse since I got this colonscopy. I have had nothing but loose stools,(Diarrhea) 3 wks ago I had what looked like a cut on my rectal area. I've been having this for the last 2 yrs on and off, but this time it was extra sore. and inflamed. I had this a couple of days, and was awoke up out my sleep with the urge to use the bathroom. I passed blood with mucus... the next day diarrhea a little blood through it. a week later, noticed a mucus blood though yet again, another bought of diarrhea. Now through this time, I felt a burning achy feeling in my lower back, felt like it was going into my hips also, not the burning, but the ache. I thought back, this is exactly how I felt in 2002 when they said I had colitis. So though I'd best see the GI doctor about the bleeding. I told him about the cut on my rectum.. and of course, right away.. That why your bleeding he said. No exam, no blood test, nothing. He said my colon test was fine when they did it a few months back. Gave me some rectal cream, and that was that. I'm just not satisfied with this. I think there is something going on.. IBS or Crohn's. Oh, forgot to mention. My dad had Colon cancer, his mother died from colon cancer, and also his brother. My sister had part of her colon removed due to Crohn's disease
