Could I have IBS also?
      02/10/08 07:02 PM

I've been treated for Crohn's Colitis for over 20 years. I take Asacol to treat this. For the past couple of years, I've been having pain in my naval area. I can have discomfort when I eat or immediately afterwards. It can be sharp pain, crampy pain, or rumbling pain. My GI doc wanted to put me on 6-MP for this, but I resisted. Flat plate x-rays, endoscopy, and cat-scans last year proved negative. I just had a capsule endoscopy which also proved to be negative. There is no explanation for my pain; I was only told to stay away from asprin and NSADIS. I told him I haven't touched them in 20 years. He did not acknowledge the statement and got off the phone. Could my pain be ibs in addition to being in remission for Crohn's Colitis? I am sensitive to dairy, fat,and harsh grainy food. Thank you.
