C-dif infection AND Crohns diagnosis

I had a colonoscopy on Friday and afterwards the doctor said I had Crohns colitis. I was upset but have done a lot of reading and the diagnosis could explain other health problems I have had in the past (kidney stones, abdominal pain, women's issues common to the disease, etc.) other than just the obvious ones.

So now today I get a call from my doctor and the biopsies he did showed acute and chronic inflammation which aren't a surprise with Crohns BUT also that I have a CDif infection. Haven't been in the hospital in ten months (gave birth then) but did finish ten days of antibiotics for a sinus infection right before the scope last week. He said he is pretty sure I have Crohns and a CDif infection but has anyone ever known someone who they THOUGHT had Crohns and it ended up just being a nasty intestinal infection.

I know this probably isn't the case since they found lots of scarring and I have had bowel problems for years, but last time I was scoped they thought it was just IBS?
