Today is a sad day. We made the choice to put our 11 year old cat Mrs Rabies to sleep. She had kidney failure and it really didn't seem like she would survive long. I have heard of cats surviving for some time on the special kidney food and it made my decision really hard. But Rabies was so unhealthy and lost so much weight and had water drinking issues anyway. The worst part is in the last few months as she got weaker and sicker she was so much more cuddly and around us so much more (she used to be in the basement most of the time). So we are sad and trying to stay confident that we made the right decision. My hub never professed a lot of love for this cat but he cried almost as much as me when we were making the decision to let her go.
Her is her picture. She was very pretty.
