Headaches are a known side effect of the antibiotic Xifaxan ( Rifaximin ).

Methane does not 'stop peristalsis'. It 'slows peristalsis' and the amount that it is slowed is dependent on the amount of methane produced.

Keep us posted on how Xifaxan works for you.
