I'm so not an expert (1 yoga session in the last 3 weeks!, but I've started again now), but anything where you're folding over should help.

There's one where you're sitting with your legs straight out (don't know the proper name for that - it's Tadasana sitting down) and you basically put your hands (or fists) on your tummy and bend over. Doing this from Tadasana also works.

Downward dog can also help to get it out !

Hey! I could've heard your accent too! I love Carolinian accents (is that the right word for you). I love southern American accents (do you count yourself as a southerner or not?) - they crack me up, they're so cool. I had a Texan Maths Lecturer at Uni, first thing on a Friday morning and his drawl just sent me straight back to sleep!

sorry for the confusion! Check the Yoga for IBS section of the site - you'll see the link just up and to your left on the side of the page. There's a whole section of poses for different GI symptoms, and pictures too.

Ohhhh the bow whips out those farts! hahahhah
you lie on your tummy, reach behind you and grab your feet folding your legs (bending your knees), just like doing a quad stretch on both legs, lift your legs as high as poss and your chest , head up, and rock from front to back, this massages your gut....its amazing!

In the Pawanmuktasana series there is an digestive/abdominal group. In this group the Suptapawanmuktasana (leg lock pose or The Wind-releasing Posture) is know to be very effective in removing wind and constipation.
