I would like to start doing yoga to control my IBS, but I have sciattica (sp?) caused by a bulging disc in the L-4 region. Should I do yoga, or could this irritate by back problem?

Thanks!

That sounds like a question for your doc. I have back problems and I do yoga, but I've never had an MRI, so I don't know what kind of issues I actually have. X-Rays don't reveal anything unusual. I find that it helps relieve my back pain, long with hiking and massage. My healthy back trinity

You should def. only do yoga in a class and you'd have to tell the instructor about your problem...that way they could stop you from doing any poses that might be bad for your back. In my experience, yoga instructors are great at working around health issues.
