HELP!!! I looked in the grocery store for a good FF italian dressing, and all of them had high fructose corn syrup in them. I want to make the 265 calorie meal tonight and don't have any dressing. Any good ones out there??

No I don't have a Safeway close by, but the other suggestion I think I can find. (Hopefully! ) Thanks. I was hoping to find a recipe to make my own, but maybe I'll have to buy something.

It's not Italian but I make vinaigrette this way:
4T. red wine vinegar
4T. water
1/2-1T. olive oil
salt, pepper, spices/herbs

or:
Tamara's Balsamic Vinaigrette

2T. soy sauce
2T. balsamic vinegar
2t. sesame oil (or olive oil)
2t. brown sugar
1t. minced gingerroot
1 clove garlic, minced

Place ingredients in a shaker bottle if possible. Will last for many days.

Although it isn't completely fat free... my favorite dressing in Newman's Own - Lighten Up Balsamic Vinagarette. It's very low in fat and tastes great.

I know this is a bit old,but here is my homemade dressing recipe... its simple- and if you use good vinegar (wine/balsamic) you can use water instead of oil... which should make it fine for this diet...

original recipe:

garlic powder/minced garlic
onion powder/minced onion
oregano
parsley
basil

Mix a portion of herbs to taste- fresh or dried, and then add:

1-2 drops of tabasco sauce
1 part vinegar (if using balsamic this can be 50/% of the liquid)
2 parts oil- normally olive

adapted:

roated garlic,
sauteed onion (in water)
oregano
parsley
basil
2 drops tobasco
1 part wine or balsamic vinegar
1 part water

shake well immediately before serving...

can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for future use, up to 1 month, freezing if it will be longer...
