Hi I'm just new to this and I was looking and couldn't find a Salsa recipe. I thought I saw one but can't seem to find it. Is Salsa you buy in the store IBS safe? Thanks Georgette

Georgette, I don't know whether store-bought salsa will be safe for your body--you may have to experiment. There are recipes for two salsas in _Eating for IBS_. If you don't have that, here's a recipe to get you started (I haven't tried it, but I trust the source):
Pico de Gallo
4 to 6 ripe tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped 1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 to 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice Chopped, seeded jalapeņo or serrano peppers to taste Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a serving bowl and serve chilled or at room temperature. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes 2 to 3 cups. --World Wide Recipes, 10-8-01

Georgette - do a SEARCH on SALSA on all forums with no time limit. You should get quite a few--I did.

Sharon, I did the same search before I posted the recipe and I came up with a whole bunch of *posts* but not a whole bunch of *recipes*.
