Is Jell-o safe? Wanting to make a cake?

Hi was wanting to make a cake for christmas and was hoping jello was safe or can i use something else please let me know thanks.

for the artificial flavors, colors, and citric acid. If it's possible to find a more natural version of Jell-o without all the chemicals, that will be a more GI friendly option.

You could also modify a recipe to use gelatin plus whatever flavored liquid you like, and that should be safe.

I want to make the jello cake with the white cake mix and the jello... My mom always made this every christmas and I love it but it always gave me prolbems now I know why so i was trying to find a safer version.Thanks

Puree some frozen strawberries, strain the puree to remove the pulp and use the juice for flavor. I use this technique to add some strawberry flavor to homemade rhubarb jelly.

Thanks just follow the directions on the gelatin and add the srawbery puree? Do i need to add sugar? thanks

I don't make it myself but this web page has simple instructions with a video. It may be useful.
