Pages: 1 Veggie Shreds       #360784 - 09/06/10 05:13 AM Edit Reply Quote gizmo Reged: 07/28/10 Posts: 239 Does anyone have any trouble with the cheddar flavor veggie shreds? I was so excited that the little health food store down the road was able to order some for me. I had some with dinner on turkey tacos and a couple hours later I was really sick. I just figured something didn't agree with me. Then the next day I had a taco leftover and ate it with the veggie shreds for lunch and again a couple hours later I was really sick again. I know it's not the turkey tacos because I make those a lot and I was using a little bit of regular taco cheese and never got sick like that. I can eat the mozzarella flavored veggie shreds just fine but the cheddar flavor do not agree. Does anyone else have this trouble and is there anything else you can use to substitute cheddar cheese in a recipe? Like a macaroni cheese with a white cheese? The ones containing casein and milk? All diary is considered a trigger on the EFI diet. I didn't realize there was any dairy in it. I guess I'm not sure I know the difference between lactose free and dairy free. Thanks for the tip I'll ask my question on the diet board also.
