I just heard about a soy whipping cream substitute (completely dairy free, I checked) that's being made in Germany. Apparently it's supposed to be coming to the US this month. Has anyone seen Soyatoo in stores?

The website, if you're interested, is www.soyatoo.de. I'm assuming it's probably pretty high-fat, but once in a while a little bit would be GREAT. I really miss whipped cream.

Try this. It's high fat so only use a bit as a topping. I found it on a cooking website but I can't remember which one. And I actually use about 3/4 a cup of canola oil.
Soy Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
• 1/4 cup vegan soy milk
• 1/2 cup Oil
• 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Place soymilk and 1/4 Cup oil in blender. Blend at highest speed and slowly drizzle in remaining 1/4 cup oil. Blend in syrup and vanilla, add a little more oil if necessary to thicken. There will be enough to top 1 pie!!
NOTE: RECIPE DOES NOT WORK WELL ON DAMP RAINY DAYS!!!

PS. A handheld blender works best for this. Doesn't come out right w/ a full size blender for me. new
