I'm going to have these at the IBS cookie party this weekend. Should I just put them out in a bowl just as is or should I have some kind of a dip??

Heather suggested guac & salsa or just plain....

What do you guys think?

There will also be Heather's Honey & Pizza Chex Mixes there as well.

This is from Stacy's website.... I could try this?

Hummus
(Simply Naked Pita Chips)
Ingredients:
1 can chick peas (drain and rinse)
1 garlic clove
Extra virgin olive oil*
1 Tbsp tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt to taste

Instructions:
In a food processor, blend garlic and chick peas
Add lemon juice and tahini
Thin mixture by slowly pouring in olive oil until consistency is smooth
*For a healthier version, substitute low-fat plain yogurt for extra virgin olive oil

Oh yeah go with the hummus! I love hummus with pita chips. Stacy's are so good! Have you tried any of the flavored ones. I think I had some of the pesto and garlic? I think that is the name. They were so good!

Is there a brand of hummus that is safe that you might reccomend? I may not have time to MAKE IT.... I'll see what brands are at PCC...

Hi, Shell, I hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but I recommend Emerald Valley Kitchen Organic Hummus (my favorite is the Greek Olive and Garlic Hummus). Here's a link - Emerald Valley Hummus . It's available at PCC, Fred Meyer, Albertson's, Roth's, Safeway, WinCo - most NW grocery stores and HFS. It's tasty!

Do you like Baba Ganush? I don't know any name brands, offhand, as I generally whip it up. However there are tons available for purchase that are pretty good.

Blackbean dip, perhaps?

(Personally, I like Maria's suggestion--STRESS-FREE/no-fuss!)

Kate.

Personally I like them with guacamole but that might be becuase I don't like hummus. I think I've also had the black bean dip with them too and that was also very good.
