Welchol for IBS D?

I am just wondering if anyone has ever head of sing welchol for IBS D
I have been using questan and my dr. changed me over to welchol today, and I have heard it is eally good for bile and etc. I am supposed to take 6 tablets a day, and that seems like a lot to start with, and wondered if anyone else have used it and howmuch you are taking, and if it is heping
any info would be greatly apprciated. thanks so much

I took it for a while and it worked really well for D (used it for 14 days in Peru while hiking the Inca trail and the Amazon); however, I still felt the pain, gas, bloating. I only had to take 1 pill a day to get relief- 6 sounds like a lot- did it work for you? I stopped taking it because of cost and because it did not relieve my other symptoms. I have only recently found Heather's book/diet so I am trying this for a while to see if I can't get more complete relief. Good luck!
