Ever since I was hospitalized before Quinlan was born in 93, Liam has been Daddy's boy. It's Daddy he wants in the night (he he), when he's crying, etc. It's always Daddy. I know it's hard. I figured it was because I was hospitalized and Daddy had to take care of him. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe it's just a phase. Anyway, Noah loves you just as much as he did before - don't doubt that. I know Liam loves me, and I'm an acceptable substitute if Daddy isn't around (sigh.) No matter what, you're the Mom. Remember that.

Even in the grocery store. I HATE it when I have to poop and I'm stuck in the grocery store. Quinlan was in the cart, and I had a cart full of groceries, stuck in the SLOWEST line with the SLOWEST teller ever. I drove home at the speed of light, dragged Quinlan in the house and abandoned all dignity in my dash for the loo. I HATE that!!!!!!!

I'm sure you'll both be fine once you're past the initial trauma. Hugs! That must be so hard.

Your story sounds SO familiar. When my girl started school, she did the same thing. That was a very depressing time in my life. She cried everyday for 2 months. She'd cry during school, too. Her teacher said she'd never had one as bad as my daughter!

I felt so bad and so helpless. Nothing I did seemed to make any difference.

I helped out in her class several times a week, and that would help while I was there. But, as soon as I'd leave, she'd cry and cry and cry.

She finally adjusted, but it was a struggle. I hope your little one doesn't have as much trouble, but at least you can know that others have been through it and survived.
Terri
