I just got an email about this event in my email Monday... it is right in our neighborhood and knew nothing about it. Well, Shane & I will both registar tonight (Shane will run & I will walk)!!

Don't knees suck?? I have to wear a knee brace on each knee when I run and I do lots of knee exercises. I stubbornly refuse to stop!

I can't wait to do this. I still recall the 1st one we ever did----to see Shell come across that finish line just gave me goose bumps----she has come so far!!

OK, we are off to the 5K soon...it starts at 9:30am but we have to be there at 8am for packet pickup.
Funny story...I was not sure how to take it at first....my feelings were hurt....
On Tuesday I told my PT that I was going to do this 5K and her reply was, "Who's isn't?" She was busy with another client so I just cracked it up to be she did not really HEAR what I said and I walked away.
Then on Thursday at my one on one session with her....just before the end, I played stupid and said, "Oh, I told you I was doing a 5K on Sunday, right?" (sneaky me)... she said, yeah...and kinda shrugged her shoulders....  I said, "Oh, that is right...I did tell you and you said, who isn't!!?!?!? She looked at me and said, "now Shell, I would be impressed if you said you were RUNNING a 5K, but I know your NOT because of your knee, RIGHT?!!? Because really Shell...a 5K is NOTHING for you anymore!!    Guess her "Who isn't?" comment was really a compliment!! LOL
