I have been suffering with my latest Ibs episode off and on since nov. I have ibs a but seemingly more d these days. Also the ibs seemed to worsen after my too long undiagnosed gall bladder. I know exercise is supposed to help so I bought a bike
. Have been building upland today went about three miles. I also have gerd and lactose intholerence. I also developed anxiety attacks which I now see comes on at times when my gummy is in trouble. Today after the bike ride my gummy started spasms, went to the toilet three times with soft stool and then started the anxiety attack. I put on an anxiety attack app on my kindle and walked around slowly listening. When tunny is cramped I cannot sit down as it makes it worse. Could it be the bike? Will I have to give it up? Thanks for any help. I am new.

Exercise usually doesn't make IBS. In fact if can frequently be beneficial.

Sorry about those Typos. I was typing on my Kindle at the time and it "auto-corrected" my words. All those gummy's are supposed to say tummy. Ay yi yi. Feeling better today.

Hello and Welcome!

Riding a bike should not 'cause' IBS, though sometimes exercise can move the motility along - but overall it is a good thing and can be helpful.

You may want to look into hypnotherapy regarding the anxiety issues - it can be quite helpful, especially when you are doing all the right things otherwise and still have problems. I had gallbladder issues too, so can relate. It can help with all aspects of symptoms. If you have any questions, let me know - happy to help.
