I'm already IBS-C. I had to take Bactrim for a urinary tract infection. Thank goodness I only had to take it for 3 days. I got SOOO C. It was horrible. I understand how you felt on this antibiotic. I've even been taking Miralax but got C anyway.
Honestly, I've never noticed getting C on an antibiotic before. But this is the first time I've taken Bactrim.
Just wanted you to know that I feel for ya!
I took my last pill yesterday morning. I drank a huge glass of water/cranberry juice with Miralax this morning and then had a fruit smoothy for breakfast. I finally went to the bathroom. Yeah!
I stopped taking it a day early last Monday (instad of taking it until Weds AM) and have been back tohaving bowel movements since.. but yow.. I will beg and plead to be put on anything but that now.. I've never had that type of reaction before.
