Extra Strength Pamprin safe?

Hi
I've been using Extra Strength Pamprin. Is it ok to take when I have pms ?I take 8 per day for 6 days straight since my pms is complete torture. Each caplet contains 500mg Acetaminophen, 25mg pamabrom, 15mg Pyrilamine Maleate. It says on the package might cause drowsiness. I get so drowsy from it I can hardly keep my eyes open.

When I was in middle school my mom bought both Pamprin and Midol for me to try. The Pamprin made me really, memorably ill, and this was way before I had IBS--I had diarrhea and was kind of "loopy" and just wanted to sleep. It's been almost ten years and I remember how awful I felt. The Midol didn't give me any problems that I remember, though. Would that be something to try instead?

I actually can't take Midol. It has caffiene in it. So I guess I'll have to check out Tyenol menstrual relief. It's so hard to find pms medicine.
