probiotics and enzymes - before colonoscopy test?

It just occurred to me maybe I shouldn't take any probiotics or digestive enzymes before I have a colonoscopy on Nov 6th. What do you think? The week before I'm suppose to eat SF only and clear liquids. I'm afraid taking the probiotics and digestive enzymes may start to help me and therefore the test won't show what's wrong. If that makes sense..

The last couple of days I've been watching my HFCS intake and eliminating it from my diet. I feel like I've got to do something between now and Nov 6th..

Thanks...

Digestive enzymes are destroyed in the stomach usually within 20-40 minutes after you take them. Except for a few probiotics they are destroyed in the stomach or small intestine and never reach the large bowel. Since you will be taking a strong laxative - probably twice - before your colonoscopy and you be on a low residue diet it will not matter if you take probiotics and digestive enzymes up until the time you start the preparation process for the colonoscopy given to you by your GI doctor.
