You hit the nail on the head. Yes, we have free medical care, but don't expect good service. There is a HUGE family doctor shortage in Ontario - so many people simply don't have a family doctor. My father-in-law had to wait almost 2 years for a knee replacement surgery. Getting into specialists - you can expect to wait several months. Not to mention getting an MRI - you have to wait a long time.
