HI- My husband also suffers from ulcerative colitis and is currently dealing with a flare up that has lasted 6 weeks. Needless to say, it is not fun. I have never heard of the specific carbohydrate diet, but will search for it on the internet. Does your husband work with a nutritionist? I am hoping to find one in our area to help us. I feel so helpless to fix this problem.....my husband has never been sick like this before....
