High-Energy Banana Carob Breakfast Shake

Breakfast in a glass! Fast, easy, and nutritious, this drink is a great start to any day. It's low fat, high soluble fiber, and just happens to be perfectly delicious.

Makes 1 Serving (easily doubled or tripled)

1 firm-ripe banana
1 organic egg white*
1/4 cup vanilla soy or rice milk
2 tablespoons carob powder

Combine all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth, scraping down sides of blender with rubber spatula if necessary. Pour into a large glass and serve.

*If salmonella is a concern in your area you can substitute pasteurized egg whites, available in the dairy section of most grocery stores (Egg Beaters, etc.).
